About Chaweng Beach

Chaweng is the central tourist hub of Koh Samui consequently it has the best facilities and amenities to offer the holiday maker. It also has the best selection of restaurants, bars and night spots. For many people Chaweng is the only place to stay in Koh Samui as it combines first class accommodation with plenty of shops to explore.

Chaweng is a 7 km long stretch of white sand beach. It has the finest sand on the island and some of the bets conditions for swimming. For those who enjoy snorkeling there are corals not far off the coast where a profusion of marine life can be spotted. It is also possible to hire a kayak and padle to two small islands just off Chaweng beach.

There are lots of people on Chaweng beach and between Thai people can be seen threading their way through the sunworshippers offering cold drinks and tasty snacks. The beach is accessed via one of the many resorts and hotels that line the beach front.
